Gearbox Repair & Rebuilding

Gearboxes are disassembled and each part is examined for wear and conformance to manufacturer’s specifications. A report is prepared for the customer detailing the condition of all parts, including illustrative photographs and our recommendations.

Once the customer determines a course of action, the housing is meticulously cleaned, new bearings and seals are installed along with any new gearing that may be necessary.

Gear meshes and backlashes are set and checked to assure conformity with the manufacturer’s specifications.

Once fully assembled, lubrication is added and the unit is test run for several hours, during which time, it is continuously monitored for abnormal noise, heat, or vibration.

Finally, the gearbox is painted and shipped to you.
